Bruce Trail - Stoney Creek to Red Hill Valley Parkway, Maps 6 and 7

I am a bit behind in my blogging, Nicola and I did this hike a couple of weeks ago. We decided where to walk after eating our fabulous breakfast and also tentatively booked in to Serenity Ranch for another overnight in a months time.

We parked in a Stoney Creek residential neighbourhood which backed onto the escarpment.

Up a steep trail, between the houses, and we could have been miles away from suburbia.

We've seen some curious things on the trail but never slippers before.

A bit further on, a cap. Nicola dubbed it the "Fashion Week" hike.

The trail stuck to the escarpment here

sometimes going, steeply down, and then, of course, up again.

Occasional pops of fall colour

but it really hadn't been cold enough yet for the true brilliance.

On to the train tracks a couple of times.

Considering our location it was surprisingly peaceful and
in contrast to the previous day, uncrowded.

The waterfall had just a trickle.

Next article of clothing. It might have been a Leafs shirt. Thrown in frustration?

When we saw the shorts I was concerned we were dealing with a streaker.

8.6km, part of map 6 and completion of map 7.

We found a patio in Stoney Creek and had a lunch of nachos

and a drink, feeling we wanted to take advantage of patio dining for as long as we can.
