| Today was a free day with most of us planning on chilling on the beach or at the pool. |

| Unfortunately the weather was not co-operating. There were frequent intense showers and the occasional rumble of thunder. |

| Right after breakfast I went up to the lobby and booked a spa package for 11am. 1,299 Thai Baht is about $Can60.00, for an hour and a half of pampering. |
 |
| The weather can't have been unusual because each room was provided with 2 umbrellas. Arriving at the spa I was given a cup of cold peaflower tea before being taken into calm, serenely decorated rooms to change, done a robe and be given a sea salt and lemongrass body scrub. |

| Then I took a shower in the adjoining room and returned for my hour long massage. |
 |
| Dressed again and feeling very mellow I was given a hot peaflower tea and little cookies before again braving the teaming rain. |

| I noticed the abundance of different plants |

| growing on the property. |
 |
| Others in the group had gone into town where Mark had manged to fall in a pothole, scrapping up his leg and lucky not to have broken anything. Later he fell on a wet step at the spa. Not his most co-ordinated day but gained a free massage for consolation. |

| I seem to remember I did some blogging that day but pretty soon the call went out |

| followed by dinner, inside but still within hearing of the surf on the beach. |
