All back in our seats, we left the pod of dolphins |
and headed back |
towards the shore. |
This section of coast |
is riddled with caves |
and the helmsman jockeyed the boat in, to get the required pictures of the hole in the roof. |
while being pushed around by the waves and avoiding another boat doing the same thing. |
These were the Benagil Caves |
and we motored back along the coast |
marveling at caves and rock arches. |
I was now able to move freely around the back of the boat, |
from side to side |
and even |
up sitting beside the helmsman. |
I lost count of the caves |
we nudged our way into |
and the geological |
formations we observed. |
And on the seaward side |
we passed 2 large cruising sailboats. |
Back in the harbour, small fishing boats, |
fancy pleasure boats |
and colourful holiday homes. |
We hadn't had time for lunch and were ravenous. The first thing to catch our eye ... crepes. I had caramel and lemon ice cream, strawberries, whipped cream and toffee sauce. |
As we hadn't had Sangria yet, we had to rectify that! |
On a sugar high now |
we walked around the marina and found these |
cute little rental houseboats. |
The shuttle picked us up at 4pm and delivered us back to the hotel. |
