| The forecast had said rain all day so I had planned for staying home but woke to mild temperatures, so coffee on the deck. |
| Didn't know squirrels ate pine cones but a google search revealed that they do. |
| Took advantage of the delayed rain |
| with a walk |
| down the |
| cottage road. |
| He'd left a mess. |
| I tried to get a shot of Rick leaning on the steps, but he turned, and he looks like a cormorant drying his wings. |
| The clouds boiled, |
| wind picked up and white caps showed up on the lake. |
| So it was a time for indoor activities: rug hooking, |
| painting and |
| photo processing. Cygnus Loop. Photo by Rick. |
| It rained all night and through the morning, then cleared, so we went to Bobcaygeon. |
| Loch # 32 on the Trent Severn Waterway. |
I picked up a brochure -- 368km in length, 37 conventional locks, 2 sets of flight locks, 2 of the worlds highest hydraulic locks and a marine railway.
| Downtown shops were very pricey, but fun to walk through. |
| The bank and the theatre were established in 1871 and we later learned that Daniele arrived a couple of hours after we left, to work at the theatre. |
| Large lakes at either side of the town |
| and a swan family |
| still hanging around. |
| We returned to clearing skies (photo of Rick, on the deck, taken through the front window) |
| and sat out |
| with beer and wine, to watch the sun go down for the last time here. |
| Rick had packed all his astrophotography gear away but pulled it all back out for one more chance as the sky continued to clear. |
