Kite Boarding at Long Point

In an effort to get a good photo to use as my "summer header" on the blog, I took a lot of pictures of the kites and boarders on Sunday.

It was the first really good kite boarding day on a weekend, windy (look at the white caps!)

and warm.

Kites covered the beach in both directions, jockeying for space with families and sunbathers.

At one point we counted 25 on the beach and in the air.

Its not easy to get action shots with my little "point and shoot"

but I always try.

The water is still cold, they all wore wetsuits, even though Peggy did swim that day (and I swam yesterday)
