Apps Rug Hooking weekend, 2017

Last weekend was J.J. Ruggers annual rug hooking retreat at Apps Ridge, near Paris. I attended as a "fifier" and there was just one class this year.
Elaine taught Punch Needle Embroidery
and bought tons of resources for pattern ideas as well as threads.
This is one of her completed pieces.
Some people used patterns that were provided

Not everyone stuck with the Fall theme.
Eileen designed this Crewel
Margot this little red wagon
and Pam this fiddlehead,
with an abundance of colour options.
I like Elaine's philosophy but crafting can be pretty expensive too.
Meanwhile, over by the fireplace ...........
There was knitting and rug hooking going on. Lynn was working on her cell phone bouquet.
Cheryl was working on this magnificent
room sized rug.

Sue continued with the rug depicting her grandchildren.
Pam had bought in her Eiffel Tower (designed by Sharon A Smith) to show us.
I continued to work on my Port Dover rug, but forgot to take a picture of it.
