Thankful not to drive, we are spending a day relaxing at Mark and Emma's.
Coffee time spent sitting in that sunroom, looking out over their gardens, woods and birdfeeders. |
Mark and Em are both working from home so Nic and I took Jasper and Polo for a walk, |
up the road |
Beaver dam at the first pond. |
Wild Columbine beside the road. |
Second pond, then up the hill to the hydro line. There and back, about an hour, with some up hill and down (good for the heart) |
All the foliage is popping as it is hot, humid |
and the blackfly have started. |
They have a huge garden and we racked the leaves out of the beds and blew them into the surrounding woods. |
Garlic already doing well and |
Shitake mushrooms grown from spore infused dowels embedded in the wood. |
After the raking, a rest in the shade for some bird photography. |
Not always co-operative. |
