Cyprus - showing Rick the top of the hill walk

We are getting fitter and now walking almost every day. The weather is currently being cooperative; mostly sunny, 12 to 14 degrees.

We drove up to the top of the hill and parked in the same spot as when Chris, Jason, Cigi and I did this walk.

We walked down to the little chapel

Inside we could see that it was built right into the rock of the hillside.

Rick trying to get his phone to translate the name of the chapel.

Looking up from the old chapel to the new one. Why build a new one this close???

Still trying to get the phone to translate. Turns out the old one was dedicated to the Prophet Elias. We still couldn't figure out the new one but suspect it is dedicated to Mary from the icons there.

We walked until we saw the sea and then looped back

through the Carob trees,

past the field of goats

and the pen of baby goats.

The horses were roaming free again.

We went a little off the main path to get pictures of the sheep

and lambs.

This one almost looks like a cross between a goat and a sheep.

I spent the rest of the day working on a painting of this house in Kouklia.
