Cyprus - walk behind Aphrodite's Rock

For Saturday's walk this week we met at the parking lot by Aphrodite's Rock and walked up the path at the end furthest from the beach.

I have been curious about the web of trails I could see up in these hills but they look like a great place to get lost. Because Julie knew the way it was very enjoyable and quite flat after the initial steep up hill climb.

A Eucalyptus Tree.

We came back down the hill, crossed the road and walked on the trails beside the sea

eventually walking back along the beach,

a sometimes difficult task, given the large rounded stones and rising tide.

About a third of the group chose to walk back along the road rather than tackle the beach.

A picture for Christine - built by someone who didn't have a 2 year old constantly knocking it down.

The customary lunch was held at the seafood restaurant with a view of the beach.

I had the grilled Sea Bream (complete with head, tail and bones)

and Rick had Fish and Chips. He turned down

the Octopus.
