UK 2014, Harrogate, Valley Gardens

Heather, Don, Pam and Peter arrived via taxi from Manchester by about 5:30pm, we popped out to the grocery store and came home to prepare soup, baguette, cheese, veg and dip and of course some alcoholic beverages.
A variety of tastes; scotch, beer, red wine. I think Don and Heather chose their beer based on
name - Black Sheep Ale, Old Thumper.
Greeted this morning by the neighbourhood cat who appeared to be trying to get a reaction from
one of the kitchens that back onto the back pathway.
We headed for the Tourist Info Office after breakfast and discovered that there are short opening hours on Sunday. Our plans changed and we decided to walk the Valley Gardens first.
Part of the gardens is planted and formal (primulae and pansies). The little building is a café.
We laughed at this. So is "social drinking" allowed?  Nice to know you can only be fined if the police
officer has asked you to stop and you still continue, how civilized.
We walked about half way up the Valley Gardens. Most of it is grassland and trees. It
was warm, very windy and occasionally it would shower.
Houses lining the park can be seen peeking through the foliage.
After a brief shower there was a beautiful double rainbow.
We walked back up to the Wagamama, close to our house, and had a huge lunch; ramen, curry, noodle bowls.
