Cyprus - Agios Georgios harbour

Down from the church parking lot

to the harbour parking lot

in front of the PISC shed. Their clubhouse is somewhere else.

On the walk on Saturday, Greg mentioned that he had seen them sailing when he had come down here on a Saturday. As we don't sail in the winter I had assumed that they didn't either. Silly.

Of course I had to walk down the rows of covered boats, trying to determine what kind they were. Mostly dinghies, just a few catamarans.

One using a remade sail as a cover. Brilliant.

Some fishing boats "on the hard"

but most were in the water.

One sleek and uncluttered with

it's own patron.

Another kind of patron

for this serious working boat.

"Poseidonas"

A ramp to get the boats in, a small beach, on top of the cliff, the restaurant and

the church.

More tombs in the cliffs.

When Mike and Aimee honeymooned in Belize there was a bounty on Lion Fish as they were invasive and competing with the native fish. They are a Pacific fish. I am surprised they are also a problem here.

I sat and just enjoyed being near boats, while eating an ice cream from the truck (caramel with a  Cadbury's Flake stuck in it). I had taken my painting stuff but just didn't feel like it.
