Port de Soller, Mallorca, Spain - watchtower, shopping and pool

We set off to walk to the watchtower in jackets, as there was a cool wind, but the steep up hill had them off and round our waists in no time.
Feeding grass to
an adorable little black lamb
gave us a chance to catch our breath.
The girls keep up a really good pace so it didn't take us long to get there.
We read, while at the castle the other day, that the watchtowers only had one small entrance and a wooden ladder that could be pulled up.
We walked around a little
sat and admired the view
and watched one of the fishing boats making its way back with its trailing flock of seagulls. We decided that it wouldn't have been a good idea to take the boat to Cala Collabora today as Heather was feeling seasick just watching this boat bounce in the waves. Fi estimated the wind at about 20knots.
We walked down and through the top of the town with Heather still on the lookout for Vespas, she's trying to get a picture of one of every colour.

Hungry, we went to eat at El Porto Pizzeria. Sarah had Cream Pesto Gnocci,
Heather had Marguarita Pizza (she stated that Sarah always manages to order the better thing and thought that had happened again)
Fi's was a Chicken and Apple Pizza
and I had Tomato and Mozzarella Salad.
I helped downstairs with a little more gravel moving while the girls went down to the harbour to wander through the shops and make reservations for tomorrows dinner. This is how much of the patio got completed today.
For supper Fiona made us Curried Lentil Stew and Heather made Orange Cupcakes.
Fiona hasn't emailed me the Lentil recipe yet but I will post it when she does, as it was delicious. Heather replaced the liquid in a chocolate cake mix with fresh squeezed orange juice, baked them in the orange peel cups
and topped them with chocolate icing, whipped cream and orange zest.

We spent a couple of hours in the evening playing pool at The Asgaard bar. I think Fi may have been the overall winner, but all won games at one point or another. We were the only people in the place and the bartender had to come, every time we wanted to play a new game, as the coin slot system was broken.
